Housing Coordinator

Madison Property Management is looking for self-motivated individuals who enjoy a fast paced work environment and communicating with new people daily. The ideal candidate will combine strong written and verbal communication skills with organizational skills to effectively help prospective renters narrow down housing choices and better understand the leasing process at MPM. The Housing Coordinator will report to the Leasing Manager and will operate with a primary goal of assisting interested renters in scheduling appointments at MPM’s rental properties while providing excellent customer service. This is primarily an in-office leasing position but will require some training in the field.

Responsibilities / Duties:
  • Develop a working knowledge of MPM's diverse portfolio of apartments and homes in the Madison and Dane County area
  • Develop proficiency in MPM's internal housing software system to accurately log all prospects and prospect interactions
  • Respond quickly and with great communication to internet leads via both phone and email. Assist these prospective renters by answering questions and providing guidance regarding housing options within the MPM portfolio
  • Assist with schedule and manage leasing appointments for the Leasing Agents
  • Work with the Marketing Department to ensure that both the MPM website and external online listings remain accurate and up to date
  • Track leads until a showing has been scheduled or a prospect has applied, and follow up with prospective renters to ensure that their needs have been met
  • Understand MPM's lease, leasing process, and Fair Housing regulations and be able to explain them to prospective renters
  • Complete other daily and seasonal projects as needed
  • A vehicle for daily use and drivers license are required (mileage is reimbursed when needed)
  • Demonstrated excellence at written and verbal communication
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • A background in sales or property management is helpful but not required
Hours / Benefits:
  • This is a full time position (paid holidays, vacation time, and benefits available)
  • Monday through Friday 9:00 to 5:30pm (this may be flexible)
  • Select Saturday hours required
