HVAC Service Technician

MPM is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The HVAC Service Technician will report to the Maintenance Team Leader and will work with the property management and operations teams to ensure that the properties managed by MPM are kept up to applicable standards. Applicants must be customer-service driven and be able to handle the daily challenges associated with the property management industry and maintaining multiple residences.

Responsibilities / Duties:
  • Troubleshoot, repair, maintain and install residential and commercial HVAC systems and related equipment.
  • Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
  • Check and verify operation of complete system before leaving the jobsite to minimize callbacks.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance tasks and inspections.
  • Develop an understanding of the MPM portfolio, inventory, and SOP’s
  • Communicate with the Property Management team to ensure that property residents and owners are kept in the loop on applicable maintenance projects
  • Complete work-order reports thoroughly
  • Handle and document inventory appropriately
  • Understand the general facets of property management
  • Complete work orders and handle inventory
  • Interact professionally with residents, office staff, and vendors as needed
Requirements:
  • Three (3) plus years of experience exhibiting a knowledge of the installation, repair, and service of residential and commercial HVAC equipment.
  • EPA Certification
  • Possess strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read wiring schematics and mechanical plans.
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders & scaffolds, access rooftops, and enter restricted areas.
  • Driver's license and insured personal vehicle for daily use (MPM pays mileage).
  • Live within a 30 miles radius of downtown Madison, WI
  • Comfortable using computers and smart phones preferred
Hours / Benefits:
  • This is a full time position Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm
  • Overtime: On-call and weekend hours as-needed
