Application Specialist

Madison Property Management is looking for self-motivated individual who enjoys a fast paced work environment and communicating with new people daily. The ideal candidate will combine strong written and verbal communication skills with forward thinking and organizational skills to effectively screen and process prospective tenant’s applications.

This fast-paced position involves quickly developing a deeply rooted understanding of our property management software system, leasing practices, and internal procedures in order to provide excellent customer service.

Our ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented learner with proven abilities in written and verbal communication. Someone able to work effectively both independently and with a team, has the ability to pivot from task to task, and will proactively seek out projects, as needed. This person will have a knack for balancing the needs of multiple parties and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities / Duties:
  • Quickly and capably learn and work in MPM’s internal property management software system.
  • Process all applications in accordance with MPM's Standard Operating Procedures and Fair Housing regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service to prospects throughout the application process.
  • Conduct criminal background checks, compile eviction records, obtain landlord references, verify income, and review credit reports.
  • Obtain, analyze, and compare information from different sources.
  • Document all progress and communication.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-intensive environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to adhere to confidentiality practices.
  • Possess great attention to detail.
  • Assist with organizational and data-related projects, as needed.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Insured personal vehicle available every day to use as needed.
  • Proficient with PC systems, Microsoft office, and CRM (customer relations management) software.
  • A background in collections, management and/or confidentiality practices is helpful but not required.
  • Bilingual preferred but not required.High school diploma or equivalent.
Hours / Benefits:

This is a full time position (paid holidays, vacation time, and benefits available) Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm with Select Saturday hours required.
