Parts and Inventory Manager

Madison Property Management, a local family-owned, full-service property management company, is hiring a Parts and Inventory Manager. This is a full-time, in person, salary position. The shift is Monday-Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm. The Parts and Inventory Manager will work to ensure that the operations team has the needed parts to ensure the properties managed by MPM are kept up to applicable standards.

Responsibilities / Duties:
  • Finding, ordering, and stocking parts
  • Managing deliveries and warranty issues
  • Key management – issuing, key return, cut keys
  • Communicate with vendor reps, owners, and property managers as needed
  • Communicate with maintenance techs for ordering specialist parts needed for jobs
  • Pickup orders from home improvement stores (Home Depot, Menards, etc.)
  • Inventory management
  • Management company accounts with vendors (issuing employee cards)
  • Performing quarterly reviews for direct reports
  • Assist with hiring as needed
  • Contribute to a positive team environment
  • Additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Two (2) plus years of parts ordering/warehouse inventory management experience
  • Candidate must be detail-oriented, organized, able to multi-task and have good problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable using computers and smart phones
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various computer applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. (Previous Experience with Rent Manager is a plus)
  • Must be physically able to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
  • Driver's license and insured personal vehicle for daily use (MPM pays mileage).
  • Live within a 30 miles radius of downtown Madison, WI
  • Willingness to learn and be flexible
  • Positive attitude and great interpersonal skills
  • Overtime is mandatory during August-September campus turnover, including weekend work. May need to work overtime in other months
